Sept. 2006

Oct. 2006

Will read closer to the 18th October when the course starts so that the information is fresh in my mind. There are some exercises to undertake as well from DD2 - read the exercises but did not do them. May do them some time between the first and second lecutre or may just leave it. Next time I will set a clear deadline by which a task needs to be done. In the end it turned out that has written into the first session that we would go over Access Databases and that the work that I had done with the ECDL and with going on the D&D Access Databases put me in good stead. Preliminary Reading

Recommended reading

Sept. 2006 Oct. 2006 Read 5 pages of Bennett & McRobb. This topic ( and text book) )is quite big and so it is hard to get an idea from reading as to what will be covered. Certainly do not want to spend any time reading irrelevant stuff. Next year I will allocate a minimum of 3 hours preliminary reading for each course and ensure that I have an idea of what I need to read - possibly by speaking to the lecturer at the progress evening.
