Mário Augusto Tombotato Awarded Post-Doctoral Funding

Mário Augusto Tombolato has been awarded funding from São Paulo Research Foundation (Brazil) to work with David and the SIH Lab for 5 months starting in December.  Congratulations and welcome Mário!


New Article on Closeness Discrepancies Published

David and Allen LeBlanc have published a new article entitled "The complicated connection between closeness and relationship quality” in the Journal of Social and Personal Relationships.  The article is open access and full text is available here.


Jo Awarded Studentship at LSE

Jo recieved a studentship and was accepted on to the MSc in Social and Cultural Psychology at the London School of Economics and Political Science.  Congratulations Jo!


Kate Presents at George Washington University

Kate Luxion was invited to speak about LGBTQ+ reproductive justice during this summer’s residency for George Washington University’s LGBT Health Policy and Practice graduate certificate programme.


Harrison Oakes Awarded Banting Post-Doctoral Fellowship

Harrison Oakes has been awarded a two-year Banting Post-Doctoral Fellowship from the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council (Canada) to work with David and the SIH Lab starting on October 1.

UCL Gender and Sexuality Research Student Day

Marc and Kate presented their individual PhD research projects at UCL Gender and Sexuality Research Student Day.


New Chapter on Sexuality in Emerging Adulthood

Marc and David published a chapter in the book Sexuality in Emerging Adulthood, titled Sexual Orientations and Identities Among Sexual Minority Emerging Adults.


Marc & Kate Develop New VR Experience

Marc and Kate developed a VR experience, What it’s Like to Be Me, to improve awareness around the discrimination LGBTQIA+ people face on a daily basis. This project was awarded a grant through Rare Impact Challenge, sponsored by Unity and the Rare Impact Foundation.

Kate Awarded Minority Workshop Award

Kate Luxion was awarded a Minority Workshop Award from The Society of Multivariate Experimental Psychology. The award went to cover the cost of a Longitudinal Structural Equation Modelling at the Center for Statistical Training by Curran-Bauer Analytics.


Kate Presents on “Future Families"

“Future Families” panel at Gendered Intelligence included Kate Luxion as a panellist. The discussion, included talking about the various ways to define family along with advice on where to find more information about chosen families and family planning.
