Welcome to the research group webpage of the Bell lab at University
College London. We are an interdisciplinary team working on
understanding the biophysics of DNA and the DNA-binding proteins that
contribute to the structure and maintenance of the genome. We combine
biophysical and biochemical approaches with single-molecule fluorescence
microscopy and force spectroscopy to understand DNA-protein interactions
in the context of health and disease. Our group is based
at both the Physics & Astronomy department and the Lab for Molecular
