I am currently Santos Professor of Energy & Resources in the School of Energy and Resources, UCL Australia. This is a secondment from my permanent position of Professor of Process Systems Engineering in the Department of Chemical Engineering at University College London located in central London. I previously held an EPSRC Advanced Fellowship. A short biography is available elsewhere.

Other pages provide access to detailed information on my current research activities and interests, my teaching responsibilities at UCL within the Department of Chemical Engineering and information on the Jacaranda system for automated design and process optimisation.

My main research interests are in the area of decision support through the development of computer aided design tools with the aim of aiding engineers, policy makers and other stakeholders in gaining an understanding of the issues that affect design.
