Georgina graduated with a bachelor’s degree in chemistry form the University of Warwick in 2014. After a year out she completed a masters in analytical chemistry followed by a PhD specialising in proteomics at the University of Warwick. Georgina is now a postdoctoral research associate in the Thalassinos lab at UCL. The work focuses on using structural mass spectrometry techniques to analyse proteins implicated in the progression of Huntington’s disease. Her work mostly focuses on proteomics and crosslinking, but she has also performed native mass spectrometry.
Outside of the lab Georgina is very creative and enjoys crochet and baking and is a keen follower of Formula 1.
