A bit about me
I joined the Department of Statistical Science at UCL as a Lecturer in April 2021, and have been an Associate Professor here since October 2025.

My research is mostly focused on methodology in extreme value statistics. I'm particularly interested in extremal dependence modelling (in multivariate, spatial and spatio-temporal contexts) and environmental applications. Prior to joining UCL, I completed my PhD, entitled 'Classifying and exploiting structure in multivariate extremes', at Lancaster University, where I also did a postdoc focused on spatio-temporal extremes.
A list of my publications, can be found here.

Information for prospective PhD students
I am currently advertising a PhD project on 'Space-time extreme value models for heatwaves under different climatic conditions'. This is for an October 2026 start with the UNRISK CDT, co-supervised by Ben Youngman (Exeter) and Simon Brown (Met Office). The project details can be found here and information about the application process is available on the UNRISK website.

Information about other PhD funding opportunities in the Department of Statistical Science at UCL is available here.

Prospective students interested in the above opportunities, or anything else related to extreme value analysis, are very welcome to email me.
