My trip starts in Athens Greece where I grew up and finished High School. I finished my Bachelor Degree in Physics at the University of Patras. Patra is one of the largest ports of Greece. I decided early on that I wanted to pursue my Ph.D studies in Physics in the USA. I was awarded a Teaching Fellowship and performed my Ph.D studies in Physics at a wonderful University, the University of Texas at Austin. During my time at UT Austin I had the opportunity to be exposed to fantastic science and to become a scientist, i.e. I learned how to percevere and to never give up ! I finished my Ph.D under the supervision of Prof. Linda Reichl. I joined UCL in 2009 as an EPSRC Career Acceleration Fellow. EPSRC gave me the unique opportunity to start my own group. I am currently Professor of Physics at UCL.
