Professor Angel M García

Professor García has published The Legend of the Laughing Philosopher and its Presence in Spanish Literature (1984), Casa de las Comedias de Córdoba (1602-1694): Reconstrucción Documental (1990), Actividad teatral en Córdoba y arrendamientos de la Casa de las Comedias: 1602-1737. Estudio y documentos (1998) , and a series of articles on Golden Age drama and narrative, theatre documentation and manuscript discoveries, the Picaresque novel and Cervantes. His research interests include seventeenth-century Spanish drama, Cervantes' narrative, theatre history and documentation in seventeenth-century Córdoba, and manuscript studies. He is 'Cabellero Comendador de la Orden de Isabel la Católica', a title conferred by H M King Juan Carlos of Spain for his contribution to the development of Hispanic Studies.
