[UCL logo] Undergraduate Programme of Courses


A courses are designed for first-year students. B courses are more advanced and are intended for secon and final-year students. L courses are first, second and final-year language courses. H courses are intended mainly for MILARS students. S courses are from other schemes of syudy and, subject to the approval of the departments concerned, are available to MILARS, Hispanic Studies, and to Spanish (major) with French (minor) students. A and L courses will normally be taught every year. Courses in other categories may not be on offer every year but will be scheduled so as to allow students a wide choice during the full duration of their degree programme.

S Courses

A number of S courses are available at the Departments of Anthropology, Computer Science, Economics, Geography, Phonetics & Linguistics, the Institute of Archaeology and other subjects. To ensure that course units selected from S courses fit within a coherent degree programme and that the student is well qualified to take the course, choice is subject to the approval of the Department of Spanish and Latin American Studies and the department where the course unit is taught.
