Department of Spanish and Latin American Studies
Angeline Davies
My name is Angeline Davies, and I'm the Departmental
Administrator for the Department of Spanish and
Latin American Studies. At the moment, that is. Unfortunately I will be leaving the department on 15 May 1998 to become an apprentice chef.
I shall miss working in the department, but most of all I will miss my colleagues and our students. I hope to pop in from
time to time to see how you are getting along. For all you second year students who are about to embark on your year abroad,
good luck!, have a great time, and don't forget to keep in touch. And to all you final year students, good luck when you leave here. I hope everything goes well for you.
Don't forget to keep us posted with news of jobs, marriages (!), babies(!!!), etc,.
Stuff about myself!
Since graduating in Classics from the Department of Greek and Latin at UCL in 1997 I have been working in the Department of Spanish and Latin American Studies
(also at UCL - I just couldn't get away!!). When I'm not at UCL I enjoy:
- Cooking
- Italian: regional cooking from Le Marche, Molise and Emilia Romagna
- French: mainly Provençal.
- Indian
- Malaysian: mainly rendang or any coconut/ginger/lime dish. But not too hot!!
- Singing: I belong to the UCL Jazz Singers. We are a small choir, part of the UCL Jazz Society, available for weddings, funerals......
- Reading
- Recipe Books
- Novels
- Ancient Greek drama (yup - still!!)
- Art Galleries
