Have managed discussions with both Chris Lee and his boss Horne, in a roundabout way. Sent off hi_tir stuff to Alan for sending on and opened up tucan to find out definitively what the co-ord system is. Done, answer sent off.

Have coloured in Figure 1. Very nice.

Done all atmospheres (in terms of their display) too. Completed background model bit, asides from that validation plot, which is ever more urgent.
