But first a quick note on Rayleigh scattering. Forward scatter=backscatter. Same as compton (at the energies I use), but different for Mie (which has a greater forward scattering proportion, but which also is related to Rayleigh in the same way Thompson is related to Compton, so doesn't need inclusion).
