Mission Statement

This Workshop and School, to be held in the Gaelic College on the Isle of Skye, aims to bring together, PhD
students, Postdocs and Faculty involved in experimental and theoretical investigations of strongly correlated
condensed matter systems. The meeting will focus around colloquium-style lectures from leading worldwide
researchers. The aims are: to give an overview of modern experimental and theoretical techniques, their
achievements and open problems; To prepare graduate students for further in-depth study; to foster scientific
discussions in a conducive atmosphere; and to support the UK condensed matter community and
its international friends.
