About me

Current positions

I am currently an Associate Professor in Statistics at UCL in the Department of Statistical Science. I am also the Research Theme Lead in Structured Missingness at the Alan Turing Institute (ATI).

Previously I was a Senior Lecturer in Statistics at Cardiff University which was a joint appointment with the Office for National Statistics. Prior to this I was a Lecturer in Statistics at Lancaster University (2017-2020) and the University of Southampton (2008-2017).

Some current and recent projects

I am currently PI on a two-year EPSRC funded grant on investigating optimal design methods to address the problem of Missing Not at Random, more details about the project are available here and on my research page.

I am also PI on an eighteen-month grant funded by the ATI to investigate modelling and imputation strategies to deal with Structured Missingness. The grant is funded through the Turing-Roche partnership which is consistently looking to grow and involve more members of the research community. More details about the partnership are available here.

I was awarded an ESRC CASE studentship (2019-2022) on developing synthetic data methods to synthesise administrative databases, which involve the Office for National Statistics as industrial partners. We have a range of outputs arising from this work with details available on my research page.

Current vacancies

I do not currently have funds to hire additional postdoctoral research associates or support PhD student but watch this space! In the meantime if you are interested in collaborating please get in touch and we can explore possible funding opportunities.
