Practical session 2 (afternoon)

Find at least three electronic versions of one of Shakespeare's plays on the Internet.

Possible sources are

• Oxford Text Archive, part of the UK Arts and Humanities Data Service
• Internet Shakespeare Editions, University of Victoria

Examine the texts and make a comparison of the metadata for each version.

Examine how each version encodes hyphens, apostrophes, long dashes and any other non-standard characters.
