Meetings
Film society offers fantastic opportunities to get involved.
If you'd like to get involved, please come along to our weekly
meetings which are held every Tuesday of term in the CSC Meeting
Room (2nd Floor of the UCL Bloomsbury, 25 Gordon Street) at 6pm.
The atmosphere is very relaxed and we welcome new members. If
you're interested in the running of Film Society, please come
to the meetings and join the main committee mailing list by using
the form below.
Production
The head of the production committee is, not surprisingly, the
Production Manager. Please join the production mailing list at
http://www.smartgroups.com/group/group.cfm?GID=937778.
The production committee's functions are:
-
Organize all the film making the society does
-
Run the yearly script competition
-
Discuss collaborative projects with other societies (eg Drama
Society)
Sponsorship
Sponsorship is potentially a major source of funding for Film
Society. As such we have an entire committee dedicating to finding
sponsorship. To join the sponsorship committee, please sign up
to the mailing list at http://www.smartgroups.com/group/group.cfm?GID=936514
Publicity
Publicity is an essential part of Film Society. The committee
is run by the Publicity Manager. To join the publicity mailing
list, please go to http://www.smartgroups.com/group/group.cfm?GID=937762.
Events
The events subcommittee organizes the following:
-
Film Screenings in the UCL Bloomsbury and the Cult and Classic.
-
Seminars
-
Workshops
-
Film Festivals (both going to public ones and running our
own)
-
Social events (both within the society and with other university
societies)
-
Joint events with the Slade School of Art
Please join the Events committee mailing list at http://www.smartgroups.com/group/group.cfm?GID=937794
Getting involved in projecting our films
If you're interested in projecting, please contact our projection
manager whose e-mail address can be found on this website's members
page. The projection manager will train you to use our projectors
and then you can project all on your own! Please note that, just
like all the other positions in the Film Society, this is an unpaid
position.
Making a film
If you're interested in film making, please contact our production
manager whose e-mail address can be found on this website's members
page.
