Joining Film Society
The Film Society is an Associated Society of University College
London Union. The film society charges a nominal membership fee
of £2.
It is not necessary to become a member of the society to see
all the films we show in the Bloomsbury theatre but membership
does get you a lot of additional benefits, including:
-
Right to vote at elections and any other matters arising
in meetings
-
Insurance (£1 of membership fee pays liability and
accident cover for all society activities)
-
£2 reduction on price of Season Tickets (ie. free membership
when you buy a season ticket)
-
Entrance to Workshop training sessions
-
Entrance to Cult & Classic film nights in the studio
-
Access to filmsoc cameras, sound and editing equipment
-
Ability to book the studio for own projects/events
Membership Fee (for UCL staff + students)
For all UCL staff and students, the membership fee is £2
per year. To join, please go up to the Clubs and Societies center
on the 2nd floor of the UCL Bloomsbury and hand over your hard
earned 2 quid. In return you'll get a credit-card sized membership
card.
Non-UCL membership
If you are not at UCL you must fill in an affiliate membership
form available in this page to print. If you don not have access
to printer, please e-mail your postal address to filmsoc@ucl.ac.uk
with "affiliate membership form request" in the subject
line. The price for three month's membership is £15; a full
year's membership is £25.

We have a fairly large and active committee - to learn more,

Electronic Mailing List
Whether you are a paid up member or not, it is essential that
you sign up to our mailing list. We use this system to inform
our members of upcoming workshops, seminars, film screenings,
meetings etc. As the years pass, we are using e-mail more and
more as a way to run film society. You can sign up to the mailing
list here.
