Committee
As with all societies in college, FilmSoc is governed by a committee
structure.
The present 2001-2002 committee is below. To see who's who for
2002-2003, see the AGM results.
The duties of the President are:

Make sure that everyone else does their job as well as they
can.

Be enthusiastic.

Act as the public voice of the Film Society (e.g. stand at
the front before audiences, be around for Fresher's Conference).
- Deal with other societies, companies, the Union, etc.
The Treasurer's responsibilities are.
-
Take care of the finances. This is important due to the fact
that the Film Society is the biggest money-making society
in the Union.

Again, being enthusiastic

Know how the Union finance struture is arranged

Prepare yearly budget
- Put forward applications to UCLU Finance Committee,Friends
Trust and external sources for funding
The duties of the Projection Manager are:

To arrange the booking, transport and return of films with
the distributors, and the showing times with the Bloomsbury
Theatre. (With the help of the President).

To arrange and oversee the training of projectionists, and
the showing of films in the Bloomsbury Theatre or elsewhere.

To arrange the advertisments and trailers for each showing.
-
To look after the projection equipment of the Society.

To be enthusiastic...
The Production Manager: Sabah

The duties of the Production Manager are:

To arrange the production of up to four short films in the
year of office. This is from the script selection process
through filming and finally the editing process.

To arrange the purchase and maintenance of production equipment
and recording stocks, as well as arrange processing of the
films. (Again with the help of the President)
- Be enthusiastic....
The Publicity Manager's responsibilities are:

To arrange the adequate publicising of all FilmSoc Events.
This may seem like a short entry, but the job is very demanding.

The Secretary's duties are:

To take minutes at any meetings and send details of the meetings
out to the mailing list of the society.

To assist the other committee members in their duties.
