An early prototype of Germany's recently unveiled E-Paper.
Is this the future?

Electronic paper is a very topical technology. Recently a factory in Germany has begun to churn out the first economically viable version of what it is calling 'E-Paper.' This new product will be as light and as thin as a magazine; yet able to store all the newspapers and documents an individual could comfortably read in several months. It is hoped that the commuters and travellers of today will find this more convenient than purchasing throw away reading material, a practice which shamefully wastes billions of tons of paper every year.
