The Ethnographic Database Project
Welcome to the Ethnographic Database Project
The Ethnographic Database Project (EDP) is a web-based interface for the collection of comparative ethnographic data.

Comparative ethnographic data are used in cross-cultural analyses of human culture and behaviour. The EDP allows anthropologists to enter data from their field research in a standardised format.

The first stage of the EDP aims to collect data for societies speaking the languages shown on the map. You can contribute to the EDP by entering data from your field research in one of these societies.
