Welcome   to the homepage of
Andrew Dominic Fortes

At present I work in the Department of Earth Sciences at University College London, teaching planetary geology at undergraduate and postgraduate level, having completed two STFC Research Fellowships (2004 to 2012). My research in the field of Planetary Science covers the icy satellites of the Gas Giants and their constituent ice and hydrate phases. I'm interested in all aspects of icy planet structure and evolution. Naturally, this leads to an interest in the astrobiological potential of such bodies, particularly where conditions allow for the existence of aqueous solutions beneath the surfaces of Europa, Ganymede, Callisto, and Titan.
