There is no single recommended hotel. Interestingly, most of the nearby venues have a block-booking rate higher than the advance purchase price available online.

I therefore recommend that you find something yourself in the greater environs of London. The transport system is pretty effective, so you will find cheaper accommodation slightly further out. London travel is cheapest through an “Oyster Card”, which you can buy in advance from this link. You probably want to stay in Zones 1-2.
