Neus Torres Tamarit (Valencia, Spain 1984) is a multidisciplinary artist making art about science; genetics in particular. She is interested in the modes of interaction between the subject and the artwork, and how accurately such artworks present their scientific concepts whilst still exploring them through creative modes. Her goal is to create artworks that bridge the gap between genetics and popular culture and that evoke curiosity and wonder about the mechanisms of life, synthesising the concepts into mixed media installations that create an emotional response so that people react to them as a human experience.

Graduated in Fine Arts in 2007, Neus has recently completed a Masters in Art and Science at Central Saint Martins (June 2017). She has collaborated as an artist at the Tate Exchange, Tate Modern, for which she created a workshop about metagenomics using artworks displayed at the Tate. Neus is currently collaborating with the Royal Society.

Neus has been exhibiting internationally since 2007 at venues such as the Louvre Museum (2009) and Srishti Institute of Art Design and Technology (India, 2016). She combines her artistic practice with the curation of exhibitions and workshops, which she considers necessary for social engagement within her artistic practice.
