I am a post-doctoral researcher in the field of astronomical instrumentation. I am currently working on an STFC funded project to develop and test adaptive carbon-fibre composite mirrors, primarily for ELTs.

My other research interests include coronagraphy/high contrast imaging techniques - particularly with the aim of detecting extra-solar planets. My PhD research was in the design and building of the stellar coronagraph, OSCA, for the NAOMI adaptive optics system on the William Herschel Telescope.
