GEOMETRIC ANALYSIS

I am co-organising two seminars: the KCL/UCL Geometry Seminar and the Brussels-London Geometry Seminar. I also co-organise a Geometric Analysis Reading Seminar.

KCL/UCL Geometry Seminar

This is a joint seminar that is organised by the research groups of King's College London and University College London.

Term 1 (Autumn): Tuesdays at KCL from 11:00-12:00 in Room S5.20. The room is in the Strand Building, KCL (Strand Campus).

Term 2 (Spring): Tuesdays at UCL from 11:00-12:00 in Room 706. The room is in the Department of Mathematics at UCL (25 Gordon Street).

Term 3 (Summer): Tuesdays at UCL from 11:00-12:00 in Room 505 or Room 707. The room is in the Department of Mathematics at UCL (25 Gordon Street).

Click on the name of the speaker in the calendar to find out the day, time, room (in case of additional talks and changes to the usual schedule) and to read the abstract.

You can also subscribe to the seminar mailing list.

For more information please contact Jason Lotay or Giuseppe Tinaglia.

Brussels-London Geometry Seminar

This is a seminar series held jointly by Geometry groups in Brussels (ULB) and London (UCL, Queen Mary, King's and Imperial).

The next meeting will be on 15 October 2014 in London at UCL with the theme of hyperkähler geometry. Hugues Auvray (ENS de Cachan), Daniel Huybrechts (Bonn) and Frances Kirwan (Oxford) are the confirmed speakers.

The last meeting was 13 May 2014 in Brussels at ULB with the theme of complex geometry. Bo Berndtsson (Chalmers), Jean-Pierre Demailly (Grenoble) and David Witt-Nyström (Cambridge) were the confirmed speakers.

For more details visit the Brussels-London Geometry seminar webpage or contact one of the organisers: Joel Fine and Jason Lotay.

You can also subscribe to the seminar mailing list.

This seminar is partially supported by an LMS Scheme 3 grant, an Action der Recherche Concertée and an Interuniversity Action Poles grant.

Geometric Analysis Reading Seminar

This is an informal reading seminar on topics in geometric analysis organised by geometers at King's and UCL, which is also of interest to analysts.

The topics we cover range from the elementary to the advanced and the seminar is meant to be informal and a chance to learn about the subject, so suggestions for future topics are greatly encouraged. We particularly encourage participation by PhD students.

The seminar typically meets around lunchtime on Wednesdays at either King's or UCL. Further details can be found on the seminar webpage.
