GEOMETRIC ANALYSIS

I set up and (until recently) co-organised the KCL/UCL Geometry Seminar. I also set up and co-organise the Brussels-London Geometry Seminar, and co-organise a Geometric Analysis Reading Seminar.

KCL/UCL Geometry Seminar

This is a joint seminar that is organised by the research groups of King's College London and University College London.

Term 1 (Autumn): Wednesdays at KCL from 15:00-16:00. The room is usually S0.12 in the Strand Building, KCL (Strand Campus).

Term 2 (Spring): Wednesdays at UCL from 15:00-16:00. The room is 707 in the same building as the Department of Mathematics at UCL (25 Gordon Street).

Term 3 (Summer): Wednesdays at UCL from 15:00-16:00. The room is Drayton House B05 close to the Department of Mathematics at UCL (25 Gordon Street).

Click on the name of the speaker in the calendar to find out the day, time, room (in case of additional talks and changes to the usual schedule) and to read the abstract.

Brussels-London Geometry Seminar

This is a seminar series held jointly by Geometry groups in Brussels (ULB) and London (UCL, Queen Mary, King's and Imperial).

The next meeting is scheduled for Monday 26 November 2018 at ULB (Brussels).

The talks are arranged so that it is possible to attend without an overnight stay. Lunch will be provided.

The last meeting was on Friday 21 September 2018 at UCL (London) with a theme of Teichmüller Theory and Hyperbolic Geometry. The speakers were Viveka Erlandsson, Marc Lackenby and Jean-Marc Schlenker.

For more details visit the Brussels-London Geometry seminar webpage or contact one of the organisers: Joel Fine, Jason Lotay and Felix Schulze.

You can also subscribe to the seminar mailing list by sending an email to one of the organisers.

This seminar is partially supported by an LMS Scheme 3 grant, an Action der Recherche Concertée, an Interuniversity Action Poles grant and an ERC Consolidator Grant.

Geometric Analysis Reading Seminar

This is an informal reading seminar on topics in geometric analysis organised by geometers at UCL, which is also of interest to analysts, and is attended by researchers at Imperial, King's, Queen Mary and UCL.

The topics we cover range from the elementary to the advanced and the seminar is meant to be informal and a chance to learn about the subject, so suggestions for future topics are greatly encouraged. We particularly encourage participation by PhD students.

The seminar typically meets around lunchtime on Wednesdays at UCL. Further details can be found on the seminar webpage.
